Light of the World

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
            Into the darkness of fear, God shone His light of peace.

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
            Into the darkness of hate, God shone His light of love.

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
            Into the darkness of sin, God shone His light of grace.

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
            Into the darkness of death, God shone His light of life.

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.
            Jesus, Light of the World, shine on us!

The people are no longer walking in darkness.
            God is the Light, and the darkness can’t put Him out!
